Grower Self Declaration

To access the SGA Self Assessment form Login to the SGA Portal.

Prior to completing your Self Declaration you must have completed a Grower Self Assessment. Once the Self Asssessment is submitted you will be provided with a code to enable you to complete your Self Declaration on the NGR website.

What am I declaring?

Your Self Declaration demonstrates your commitment to the Sustainability Declaration requirements, including:

• All legal obligations are being met and that your operations for your entire owned and leased land comply with the ISCC requirements.
• You will grant access and participate in internal and external audits where required.
• You will provide information to internal and external auditors, where required, especially in relation to the major production activities of sustainable material.
• You commit to the implementation of amendments and corrective actions to rectify non- compliance with the Standard as directed by the SGA Central Office.

Self-Declaration Requirements for Selling ISCC-Compliant Grain

To ensure compliance with ISCC requirements, please note the following:

• The current years Self Declaration is sufficient to sell materials from past seasons as ISCC-compliant. There is no need for a separate Self Declaration from the previous year.
• A grower must complete a Self Declaration in every season they intend to sell grain, regardless of the season in which the grain was grown.
• Self Assessment Codes are not reusable across seasons or between NGR’s. You require a separate Self Assessment and Self Declaration for each NGR number you sell sustainable grain against each year.
• All Grower Self Declarations must be completed on the NGR site by February 28 (or 29 in a leap year) for the most recent winter crop or current summer crop season. For this winter season (and 25/26 Summer Season) this means all Grower Declarations are required to be completed on the NGR website by 28th February, 2026.

REDIII Declaration changes

As of the 21/5/25, the ISCC introduced a mandatory update to the Grower Self Declaration in relation to REDIII. The updated Self Declaration also reflects the additional sustainability and traceability requirements introduced under the directive. REDIII places greater emphasis on verifying compliance with greenhouse gas savings and land-use criteria, which is why ISCC has made this version mandatory for all growers trading sustainable grain.

The current Self Declaration available on the NGR website is the updated version mandated by ISCC as of 21 May. This applies to any grain being sold as ISCC Sustainable, regardless of the season in which it was grown. All growers that signed the old version of the Self Declaration between 21/05/25 and 1/10/25  will need to sign the new version of the Self Declaration to stay compliant. Affected growers received an email from NGR stating above and instructions on how to sign the new version of the Self Declaration.
